1. Booking Approval and Final Acceptance
All bookings are subject to actual vehicle availability, identity verification, driving eligibility, document review, deposit approval, payment status, operational review, and final acceptance by Rum Car Rental. The company may refuse, postpone, modify, suspend, or cancel any booking request before handover without being obliged to proceed with the rental.
2. Required Documents and Verification
- A valid driving license acceptable under UAE requirements
- A valid passport, Emirates ID, visa copy, or other requested identification
- Any additional verification documents requested by Rum Car Rental
If any document is missing, expired, invalid, inconsistent, suspicious, or inaccurate, Rum Car Rental may refuse handover, suspend approval, or terminate the booking process immediately.

A security deposit may be required before or at handover. Deposit release remains subject to pending traffic fines, toll charges, parking fees, damages, misuse claims, late-return exposure, administrative deductions, unsettled balances, legal review, and internal review. Rum Car Rental reserves the right to retain, offset, deduct, or recover amounts lawfully due.
4. Pricing, Extensions, and Additional Charges
Rental pricing applies only to the approved rental period and agreed usage conditions. Any extension, late return, abnormal use, overuse, damage, cleaning requirement, fuel shortage, fines, recovery action, rejected payment, chargeback dispute, or contractual breach may result in additional charges, administrative fees, legal expenses, operational loss charges, and recovery costs.
5. Vehicle Condition at Handover
The customer acknowledges that the vehicle is delivered in the condition documented by Rum Car Rental at handover, including body condition, interior condition, fuel level, mileage, cleanliness, accessories, tire condition, and general functionality. Photos, videos, dashboard photographs, written notes, telematics logs, and inspection reports may be relied upon as evidence of condition.
6. Customer Responsibility During Rental
The renter is fully responsible for the vehicle from the moment of delivery until the vehicle is physically returned, inspected, and formally accepted back by Rum Car Rental. The renter remains liable for the conduct of any person who drives, handles, moves, uses, parks, or otherwise controls the vehicle through or under the renter’s booking.
7. Authorized Driver Only
No person may drive the vehicle unless expressly approved by Rum Car Rental. Any use by an unauthorized, undisclosed, unlicensed, restricted, or non-approved driver constitutes a material breach and may result in immediate termination, full financial liability, denial of any coverage expectation, and recovery action.
8. Prohibited Use
- No off-road, desert, dune, racing, drifting, track, stunt, or reckless use
- No unlawful, abusive, negligent, dangerous, or intentionally risky use
- No smoking inside the vehicle
- No subleasing, transfer, or possession contrary to company instructions

Vehicles may be equipped with GPS, telematics, or monitoring systems for safety, route review, misuse detection, recovery, and evidence purposes.
10. Fuel, Smoking, and Cleaning Charges
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level provided at handover unless otherwise expressly agreed. Any shortage, smoking odor, ash residue, burns, stains, abnormal dirt, or abnormal interior condition may result in refueling, cleaning, deodorizing, penalty, downtime, and related administrative charges.
11. Damage, Mechanical Harm, and Misuse
The renter is responsible for body damage, interior damage, misuse, neglect, preventable mechanical harm, tire damage, wheel damage, underbody damage, glass damage, accessory loss, key loss, and any other impairment occurring during the rental period except only to the extent expressly accepted by applicable insurance and only if all policy conditions and reporting obligations are satisfied.

In the event of any accident, theft, attempted theft, seizure, collision, damage event, or third-party complaint, the renter must immediately inform Rum Car Rental and obtain the necessary police report or official authority documentation. Failure to report promptly or failure to obtain required documents may result in full liability regardless of any insurance expectation.
13. Fines, Salik, Parking, and Penalties
All traffic fines, tolls, parking charges, impound fees, handling fees, legal costs, recovery costs, and related penalties arising during the rental period remain solely the responsibility of the renter. Rum Car Rental may deduct, collect, offset, recover, or claim such amounts from deposits, payment methods, or any lawful recovery route.
14. Late Return, Non-Return, and Recovery Rights
The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date, time, and location. Any delay may trigger continuation rental charges, late-return fees, operational loss charges, recovery costs, tracing costs, towing costs, repossession costs, and legal expenses. If the vehicle is not returned as agreed, Rum Car Rental may take all lawful action necessary to recover the vehicle and related losses.
15. Payments, Chargebacks, and Reversal Attempts
Any valid amount due to Rum Car Rental must be paid in full when requested. 17. Electronic Records and Evidence
All electronic, digital, photographic, telematics, GPS, payment, booking, communication, website, access, server, inspection, handover, return, and internal records maintained by Rum Car Rental may be relied upon and produced as valid and admissible evidence to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in the United Arab Emirates. Such records shall carry evidential weight unless disproved by credible contrary evidence in accordance with applicable law.
